A geologist named David came in to school last week to talk about his job as a geologist. We learned about the oil rigs on the North Sea and how to harvest oil. He talked about the different rocks used to get the oil out\u00a0 of the sea. He also looks for fossils and he brought in a HUGE mosasaurus skull. The teeth were MASSIVE and we found out it was JUST A BABY!!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

We also talked about crystals. There was a big chunk of amethyst and loads of other crystals.\u00a0Like quartz,<\/span> adventurine, tiger’s eye and many more! It was really fascinating to learn about crystals, rocks, oil and fossils.<\/p>\n
