{"id":29233,"date":"2021-11-23T13:39:18","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T13:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/HolywoodHullabaloo\/?p=29233"},"modified":"2021-11-23T13:39:18","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T13:39:18","slug":"totem-latemat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/HolywoodHullabaloo\/2021\/11\/23\/totem-latemat\/","title":{"rendered":"totem latemat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday was our school trip to the totem pole (In the Crichton) we were making an animal we would put on a totem pole (mine was a <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">t<\/span>i<span style=\"color: #ff9900\">g<\/span>e<span style=\"color: #ff9900\">r\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">because it is brave and strong and sneaky<\/span><\/span>),\u00a0 anda trail (with things like a metal tree and a rock garden).<br \/>\nThe rock garden was big and had a bench, a tiny waterfall, and a pond, as well as the smallest tree on the trail, the biggest tree was a type of pine, we found pine cones and actually they were some of the first to be found.<br \/>\nThe Mexican totem (called totem latamat), had a rattlesnake, a message of strength, a falcon, a message of someone is always watching, and some other things, including a skull and a hat of hummingbirds. It was also bought all the way from Mexico.<br \/>\nWe had lots of fun climbing the big trees and it was great when we were sliding ddown the giant hill (I got muddy but it didn&#8217;t show up not that I care). All I know is that the hill and the giant pine trees surrounded in branches so it was like a giant climbing room, were the most memorable.<br \/>\nThe metal tree had copper leaves with the name of babies that died on them so they are remembred.<br \/>\nWe were there for a day. Before the end of the day, we did more sliding down the hill :D.
