Wider achievements Term 2

December

  • Erin won first place in the girls tennis tournament at Dumfries last weekend.
  • Carly, Jacquie and Rory passed their karate exam and are now on the brown stripe belt.
  • Jade and Suzie passed their karate exams and are on the red stripe belt.
  • Nate won ‘most improved’ player at the Annan Tennis Club.
  • Courtney received a gold certificate for attendance at the local Annan and District Athletics Club.  She set 3 club records in long jump, cricket ball and 600m this year,  a gold medal for girls and boys points winner and won a shield for long jump club champion for 2017.  Superb performance this year Courtney!
  • Mollie from P2/3 is now a blue stripe in Taekwondo Active Tigers after a grading last week. She hopes to move up to a red stripe in March.
  • Mia (P5) was awarded the Kirkwood Memorial trophy for her achievements in tennis in 2017 at Annan Seaforth tennis Club’s annual awards.
  • Keira and Kelsie M, Jessica W and Roxy have all danced their way to Disneyland, Paris with their respective dance groups. This was an amazing opportunity for all the girls who met many of their Disney friends including Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
  • Tom from P2 is very excited to share his news that he will be training with Rangers Elite training team at the weekend. The scouts have watched Tom play and have called him up for a trial. Wow! What an opportunity!
  • Conan from P3 is now the Under 8 Scottish Cycle X Champion after another successful weekend of biking. Well done, Conan. We are very proud of you!

November

  • Sophie and Freya have been dancing in Newcastle this weekend. Out of 14 dances they won two first places, two seconds, two thirds and one fourth, fifth, sixth.  Also dancing this weekend were Caitlin, Olivia and Aoiffe. Well danced girls!
  • Our swimming club have been practising their times for the upcoming competition.
  • Meanwhile our running club enjoyed success at the recent Super 4’s event at the Everholm- well done to Gabi, Isaac, Nate and Kyle.
  • Well done to Freya who led her ballroom dancing mini team to success during the October holidays.
