Our initial discussions focussed on what we know about this time of year and we would like to share some of the ideas that the children gave us.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Vinnie:<\/span> It&#8217;s very cold. When it&#8217;s ice you have to break it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Harvey M:<\/span> it&#8217;s cold. I stay in, I don&#8217;t like it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Dawid:<\/span> I like winter.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Finlay:<\/span> we need a coat to keep warm.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Meris:<\/span> the water turns freezing.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Crue:<\/span> snow turns to ice.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Owen:<\/span> It&#8217;s freezing. The rain melts the snow. I make a snowman.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Peter:<\/span> it gets icy. Snowy snow comes from the clouds. We play sledgy things.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Enid:<\/span> It&#8217;s cold. You have to wear coats, hats and scarves. I make snowballs.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Noah:<\/span> It&#8217;s cold. The water turns to ice.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Leah:<\/span> I try to catch snowflakes with my tongue.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Joshua:<\/span> you have to wear coats. I have snowball fights with my family. The water turns to ice.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Harris D:<\/span> the trees are frosty.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Kobi:<\/span> It&#8217;s cold. Sometimes I put my finger on ice. I like to play outside.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Chloe:<\/span> we can make snow angels.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Leah:<\/span> Jack Frost comes out.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> George:<\/span> lots and lots of snow comes.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Edward:<\/span> we need to wear scarves.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Harris N:<\/span> we need to wear a suit in the garden to keep us warm.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Olivia:<\/span> we need to wear gloves.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our learning at the start of this term has been about the signs of winter.
