During the Christmas period some of the children and their families filled shoe boxes to send to children less fortunate than them as part of the Shoe Box Appeal.Thank you for all of your donations; there will be a lot of children who are very grateful for them. Health Week 2014
All of the children at Gretna Primary School enjoyed a fun packed week during our recent Health Week. Activities included Karate, Body Combat, Football, Rugby, Tennis, Step, Bowling, Healthy Food Tasting and lots more. Thank you to Miss Holmes and her School Parliament Group for organising this week.
World Record
On Friday 16th May, P7 tried to break a Guinness World Record with Jamie Oliver. They took part in a live cooking lesson for Food Revolution Day and learned about why it is important to make our own food from scratch. They made a rainbow salad wrap – some of them really liked them, some were not so sure!
P3/4 Assembly
P2/3 Class Assembly
P2/3 have been studying the World Religion of Buddhism during term 3. For their class assembly (21st March) they retold the story of Prince Siddgartha Guatama. The children sang All Things Bright and Beautiful and I Saw the Light from the film Tangled, which complimented the story really well. To finish off they performed a Bollywood style dance.
