Carlingwark Adventures
On the 24th and the 25th of September 2015, Primary 6 and 7 headed to Carlingwark for 1 night and two days to do water sports at Carlingwark’s very own loch at Castle Douglas. The highlight of Jenni Brooke’s stay was definitely the fun boats.
Jenni was in a boat with Abi Mckinstry and Niamh Bodle. Niamh was controlling the boat, while Abi was at the back steering and Jenni was in the middle giving out directions. The group were giving instructions to sail in the middle of two islands of weeds. They had turned the corner and Jenni was saying hello to the canoers. Niamh was too busy talking she hadn’t realised that the sail rope was meant to be tight so it wouldn’t shoot to the other side.
So before you know it the sail had shot to the other side and because Jenni was too busy waving at other people her head was in the water and her legs still on the boat. After about 3 seconds Jenni’s legs fell in with her. While Jenni was being saved by Laura, Abi and Niamh were so busy laughing that Abi forgot to steer and crashed into the reeds.
Jenni asked Niamh, “what was your first thought when Jenni fell in?” Niamh replied, “where is Jenni?”
Jenni asked Abi the same question and Abi’s answer was “JENNI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Then she started laughing!
Over all it was a brilliant experience and enjoyed by all!
