This week has been a busy one for all the children in school where we have found out lots about Robert Burns. On Tuesday 3 of our Primary 7 children (Abbie, Bobby and Caiden) represented the school at the Newton Stewart Inter Schools Burns Competition- we are delighted to announce that Caiden was the overall winner! Everyone tried really hard and as a result the judges had a really tricky job- they decided that all three schools would be joint winners and share the trophy this year.<\/p>\n

Here are our fantastic representatives!<\/p>\n

We also had our class competitions where all the children had the chance to perform a Scots poem. This helps develop their Listening and Talking skills and allows us to choose a top 3 to represent the school at the Galloway Music Festival in March. Here are our class winners:<\/p>\n
