Scholastic Book Club

We’ve set up an online school group order so that you can visit, add books to our basket and benefit from FREE P+P to the school. You’ll be able to pay securely online by credit or debit card and the books will arrive in school for me to distribute.  If you’d like to buy any books from the Book Club catalogue please complete your online order by 3rd June 2013.  If you’d rather not order online then please just complete the order form and give it to me with your payment.

Sports Day

Sports day has been postponed till 10am on Wednesday 29th  May due to a waterlogged pitch.  Pray for sun!

Parent Council Meeting

There will be a parent council meeting at Carrutherstown Primary on Thursday 23rd May at 3pm to plan the forthcoming 40th birthday celebrations.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Open Afternoon

We would like to invite everyone to our open afternoon on Wednesday 8th May at 2pm.  The children will be showing off their learning and our recent building improvements!

Science Assembly

We would like to thank Mrs Evans from Austin Friars for coming to do a science assembly with us this afternoon!  We had big bang balloons, collapsing cannisters and an exploding tin! We learned about chemical reactions involving oxygen, hydrogen and methane.  A brilliant afternoon!

Scottish Schools Gymnastics Championships Perth

This Sunday our very talented Primary Level 1 Gymnastics team will travel to Perth to represent Dumfries and Galloway in the Scottish Schools Gymnastics  Championships! Good Luck to all 4 girls going to Perth.

Aviation Museum here we come!

We are all really looking forward to our trip to the Aviation Museum on Friday!  Please remember packed lunches and a warm jacket!

Student in our midst!

We would like to welcome Mr Ross Aitken to our team – he is currently in his second year of studies at the University of Cumbria and will be with us until the Easter Holidays.  During his time here he will be working with groups and teaching across the curriculum to fulfill his placement aims.

Well done Gymnasts!

A HUGE well done to our gymnasts for a super performance on Saturday!  Our level 2 team achieved a bronze award, and the level 1 team were awarded a silver medal and have been invited to compete in the national finals at Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth on 17th March.   We would also like to thank all the parents involved for their patience and support!
