Digital Leaders share micro:bit learning with P6/7 class

Our Digital Leaders were enthused about their experiences with Micro:bits and have led learning in sharing this resource with others. They created their own lesson materials and delivered an informative and practical session for their peers. This led to an excellent leadership experience for the Digital Leaders and a relevant STEM learning experience for the P6/7 class. They are now planning sessions for the other stages across the school. Mrs Mackenzie

Micro:bit

Our digital leaders have been working hard with Mrs Campbell and Mrs Mackenzie to learn about micro:bits. They have been applying their knowledge of block coding to programme the micro:bits to display their name and images using the LED lights. They have planned some lessons to start to teach the P5 and P6 classes how to use them! Look out for an update about our micro:bit work soon from our P5 and P6 learners!

GECO Group: Fairtrade Assembly

Our newly named GECO (Gardening and Eco Group) gave an informative presentation to the school on Friday 27th April at the assembly about Fairtrade. They shared information about the learning that took place during Fairtrade Fortnight and it was great to see how much the classes had remembered. Thank you GECO group for all your hard work with the Fairtrade Snack and Chats! Mrs Mackenzie
