Mr Mac’s Last Day

It’s Mr Mac’s last day and we wished him good luck.

The little class had all written good luck messages, which they read for Mr McIntyre.

Following that, the big class sang a song that they have learned as part of their Lochinvar Project.

Next the big class all performed a poem they wrote called: D’ ye mind ae Mr Mac?

Finally, Mr McIntyre gave a speech and said farewell.

Good luck Mr Mac and all the best!

Holiday Homework

Here are some ideas for Holiday Homework for the next two weeks:

  • Science experiment (ask for permission first!)
  • Art work
  • Keep a diary of what you do in the holidays (if you take a special jotter, 5 page minimum)
  • Make a movie
  • Shark Fact File
  • Build a bridge
  • Learn a tune on the tin whistle
  • Design or weave or embroider a pattern
  • Random jazz (something about anything, anything about something)
  • iXL challenge (blue gem for every 100 hundred questions)

French: self introduction, days of the week and months.

The librarian’s have set a story writing competition for over the break: the story should be over 50 words and for the P1s they can draw a story.

The P7s can enter the Operation Safety logo design competition.

Finally, of course you can do none of the above and get on with life.

Have a great break,

Mr A

Cross Country 2014

Sometime last term the primary 4 to 7s got a bus to Lochmaben to take part in the annual cross country festival. First up it was the primary 4 and 5 small schools girls. They had to run 800m. They all were brilliant and managed to win the group shield and be in the top three.Next primary 4 5 boys they all did well as well unfortunately they did not manage to get the group shield. Followed by the middle schools races. Then back to us primary 6 7 girls small schools. We did really well by scooping the group shield again and being in the top three and to add to that cross country champions shield. Last but not least the primary 6 7 boys scooped the shield and the champion shield. Everyone put in a 101% and we came out with good results. Thanks for the cross country training and it was all
well worth it.
