TASKS – Get Spelling, Word of the Day, BBC Bitesize
TASK 1 – Get Spelling
Here are the Speed Spell words for this week, please ask someone at home to read them out to you so that you can write them in your Practice Books (Green group please write words in your jotter).
Green Group – you have finished all units, we will now work on the Orange Words from the Get Spelling Programme.
Green Book Words – existence, frequently, immediately, mischievous, nuisance and opportunity (write these in a jotter since you have finished the green book).
Blue Book Words Unit 11 – replace, recycle, rewrite, refresh, rebuild and reheat.
Red Book Words Unit 7 – stickiness, cheekiness, chattiness, sleepiness, spiciness and happiness.
Once you have done this, please complete the following (Green group you can fill in any pages that you haven’t yet completed:
– Spelling Zone
– Dots and Dashes
– Word Changers
TASK 2 – Vocabulary Word of the Day Task. The template is in your home learning pack, PLEASE DO NOT FILL THIS IN (as there is only one of them) but use it as a guide and do the task in the literacy jotter that is in your pack.

TASK 3: BBC Bitesize Lesson – Synonyms and Antonyms
Follow this link and complete this lesson on synonyms and antonyms, this is something we have covered in class – remember synonyms are words with the same or similar meanings and antonyms are words with opposite meanings. This is particularly useful when writing stories and up-levelling your writing and word choice.
