TASK 3 – Scholastic’s Learn at Home Article
- Read this article about an artist who partnered with students to create murals: https://art.scholastic.com/issues/2019-20/120119/mural-connection.html
- Once you have read the article, create some of your own literal and inferential questions based on the article. We have been working on these questions in class, remember literal questions are questions that come directly from the text and inferential questions involve the reader having to search for clues to answer the question.
- Ask someone to home to read the article and then answer your questions, or ask a classmate to answer them by commenting on this post.
- Watch the video ‘One Blue Sky’ that is contained in the article.
EXTRA TASK:
Think of a space in your neighbourhood that would make a good location for a mural. Sketch a design for a mural about friendship, connection, culture, or another theme. Include symbols that represent this theme. Plan which colours will bring your mural to life. Post it on your blog once you have finished it, I would love to see them 🙂
