PRIMARY 7-NUMERACY 8/6/20

Monday 8th June – Numeracy Tasks

Good Morning Primary 7, here is today’s Board Number, remember you do not have to do the extra, this is simply an extra challenge.

Once you have finished, please use a calculator to correct or ask someone at home to correct your work.  Remember, you can also use the inverse operation to correct your work too. For example 28472 x 6, once you have the answer, to use the inverse operation to correct, simply carry out a division calculation using your answer divided by 6 (the answer to this division calculation should be 28472).

EXTRA – Maths Problems

1 – The Premier League is set to restart on the 17th of June subject to government approval. There are 20 teams in the Premier League
altogether. Manchester City, Sheffield United, Arsenal and Aston Villa still have to play 10 games each and the rest of the teams each have one fewer game to play than this.  How many games are still
to be played in total?  **HINT** Sketch it out

2 –  One of the core appeals of Netflix is that users  aren’t subjected to adverts. Traditional networks run roughly 18 minutes of adverts each hour and, last year, Netflix said that its average user spends two hours per day watching content.  How long do Netflix save the average user from watching adverts per year?  Give your answer in days and hours.

TASK 2 – Fractions Revision

We are continuing with revision of fractions, we covered this in class just before school closed therefore it would be a good idea to revisit and complete some fractions tasks.
