Primary 7 – Board Number and Numeracy 25/3/20

Wednesday 25th March – Numeracy Tasks for today

Good Morning Primary 7! I hope you are all well 🙂  Here is today’s Board Number, please complete in the new maths jotter that is in your home learning pack.  Remember you do not have to do the extra, this is simply an extra challenge.

Once you have finished, please use a calculator to correct or ask someone at home to correct your work.  Remember, you can also use the inverse operation to correct your work too. For example 28472 x 6, once you have the answer, to use the inverse operation to correct, simply carry out a division calculation using your answer divided by 6 (the answer to this division calculation should be 28472).

  1. BODMAS Questions:
    1: 101
    2:190
3: I think that number 2 is correct (20-3×2=14) because there are no brackets or orders so you do the multiplication first (20-6=) and then the subtraction (20-6=14). 🙂

  2. 1. (40×2)+7×3 = 80+21 = 101
    2. (3×3)x10+100 = 9×10+100 = 90+100 = 190
    3. 20-3×2 = 14 (B is correct. 20-6 = 14)

  3. 1.(40×2)+7×3= 80+21 = 101

    2.(3×3)x10+100= 9×10+100= 90+100 = 190

    3.20-3×2 = 14 (B is correct. 20-6 = 14)
