Primary 7 spent time this morning with their buddies and together they finished creating a tree decoration that they started yesterday.  They then spent time on the laptops playing some games.

Primary 7 enjoyed a disco in the hall this afternoon with some of the other classes.

Primary 7 are continuing to work in their co-operative learning teams for different curricular areas and this week have been working in these teams during some literacy lessons. The focus has been on talking and listening and learning how to agree and develop using Voice 21 sentence stems. Next we will learn how to disagree politely and challenge other viewpoints.

Primary 7 won Beat the Teacher last week and they chose Free Time Friday in the afternoon. They spent time using the Kapla, drawing on the tables with the chalk pens and using the laptops to play Minecraft Education.  Well done P7!

Next term, Primary 7 will have a student teacher in our class.  Miss Sangster will be with us from the end of February until May and last week spent a week in class getting to know everyone. On Friday, the class took part in a few getting-to-know-you activities and they are looking forward to having her back next term.

Last week was our last visit from Mrs Christie. We have had four lessons from Mrs Christie,  teaching us the ways in which to create an effective story – we will now work on creating our own stories based on our Titanic topic.

On Friday, we had four lucky winners of the literacy quiz and each won a chocolate Santa! Thank you Mrs Christie!
