Today along with P4, P5 and P5/6 we had a fire safety talk from firemen from Blackness Fire Station. We learned who to stay safe on Bonfire Night and how we need to be careful around fireworks. Primary 7s also had a visit from Mrs McLagan and Mrs Sinclair from St John’s.

Giant Swing.

Dalguise
Last week the P7s had their residential trip to Dalguise. We took part in canoeing, raft building, Jacobs ladder, archery, the climbing wall and of course the giant swing. We had great fun and everyone embraced the challenge.
Comparing Decimals
Today in maths we learned to compare and order decimals linking it to putting words in alphabetical order. We played some games to develop our understanding.
Numeracy and HWB
On our Daily Mile with our P1 buddies we used Numicon to count and collect items we found in the environment. Mr McCormack found 1 worm but no one was interested in counting that!
Wider Achievement
Well done to Alexandria and Jessica who both achieved home help badges from scouts. Alexandria also won a sliver award for achieving all her badges! Well done girls!!
IDL 3D Models
In IDL we have been learning all about Ancient and modern Egypt. Today we learned all about the Pyramids of Giza and made our own 3D models.
Daily Mile
This year we have continued to do our Daily Mile. This year we have started to go on our walk with our buddies as much as possible.
Safe Taysiders.
This week we visited Baluniefield Police Station where we learned all about Road Safety, Internet Safety,the dangers of Anti-Social Behaviour, Fire Safety and Water Safety at Safe Taysiders. Schools are allocated points on how well they take part and we won today!
Paired Reading
This year we have continued our paired reading with Primary 3. We love helping them with their literacy.
