This term Primary 6 will continue to extend vocabulary. To ensure they can all access new words, there is a VCOP wall in class for them to engage with. Primary 6 decided what words they would most likely use when creating pieces of writing relating to WW2. They chose words like- sad, hurt, scared, dangerous and disgusting etc. These words are labelled on the front of each ‘chip box’ pictured above. Then primary 6 were set the task to find synonyms and be able to demonstrate their understanding (orally) by using the new word in a sentence. All new vocabulary is now available on the yellow strips in the appropriate box. Primary 6 now have that to access when creating writing pieces. We will continue to add to the vocabulary wall.
