Famous Scots!

I would like you to do some research on a famous Scottish person! This may be from the past or present! They may be a sportsperson, singer, actor, Royal, scientist, inventor…anything you can think of!

Can you tell me where they were born, if they are alive, why they are famous and what you think about them!

You might even choose to look at more than one person!

Then create a poster, powerpoint, video, newspaper report, comic or a different idea to show me all of this information!

Ickabog  Art Competition!

As I said in the Literacy section, this is a new story by JK Rowling! Now, she is a great writer but is not a great illustrator! So, she is asking for help! She has set the challenge for you to illustrate her story! Then she will pick winners from around the world to be in the final version of the book which is being made!

As I said on Friday, the Blog will not be getting as many updates this week as it usually does! Instead, I shall put up a range of activities you may choose to do! It is entirely your choice!

On Friday, Mr McCormack will post some sport activites on here seen as we can’t have our normal sports day!

Monday – Early Morning Day! (Get up out of bed early!)

Tuesday – Donald Duck Day!

Wednesday – Iced Tea Day!

Thursday – Corn on the Cob Day!

Design your Room!

If you have £2000, can you use websites such as Ikea to design your dream bedroom? Think of all of the vital things you will need in your room!

Explore and Estimate

Either in your house (or outide if it is a nice day) why not do a bit of exploring? Have a look at what you can find! Can you estimate the size of the objects in centimeters and meters? If you have a ruler in the house, why not see how close you were?

BBC Bitesize

Here you can access the website for Daily Lessons.  I post from P5 and P6, it depends on the activity that day! If you have a look there will be activites on there from that day and previous days/weeks!

SUMDOG Competition

There is another competition on SUMDOG for Dundee.  You will be competing against lots of schools across Dundee! Even P7 in our school are getting involved! Let’s see how high up the board we can get!
