This week in Health and Wellbeing we were exploring how nice words can make us feel.
We were investigating a quote from our class novel “The Twits” which said:
“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” – Roald Dahl.
We each had a piece of paper and walked around writing positive words which would describe this person. We talked about how this made us feel and how the energy in the room was much more positive!
These will be available to look at on our Health and Wellbeing wall to remind us that we all have things which make an impact on others. Why don’t you come and check these out at Meet the Teacher?
This is such a good positive idea!
