Primary 4- data handling

Data handling is all about collecting, displaying and understanding information. This link will tell you more about data handling. Above you can see a bar graph which is one way of displaying information. Along the bottom (horizontal axis) we see different creatures and the other axis (vertical axis) tells us how many years they may live for. Can you see what ‘skips’ the years go up in? 20, 40, 60, 80? Working that out will help[ you work out what each smaller line is worth! If you know your tables you’ll be sorted! Give answering the questions a go.

The link below will tell you more about data handling.

    1. Well done Teya – for number 5 you should try to work out where 15 is on the vertical axis and that will give you the answer.
For number 8 you should find 50 and then look at the columns that are greater than that. Super work!
