We had an afternoon of fun practical numeracy activities. We created an amazing multiplication array village. We pretended the Kapla were hot sausage rolls and the bakers had to share them evenly between plates – knowing our tables was a real help with this. We then wrote fact family number sentences and took photos to evidence this for the Bakery Boss (Mrs O) We played some great times table games using playing cards, counters, egg boxes, plastic cups, counters and fingers! Ask us to show you/tell you at home what they were all about!

primary 4 – continuing our story adventure…
This week we got into groups to share and feedback on the beginning of our second draft story starts. We really saw an improvement in the use of powerful vocabulary, simile, metaphor and adjectives. Next we worked on what happened next in comic form, focussing on following on from where we left off and getting the exciting developments clear in our mind for the writing process. We then shared the middle of our story with our literacy partner. We are now ready to dive into the action, danger and excitement!
Primary 4 – Fit Thursday
We had a really great Fit Thursday. We got a great step aerobics workout, followed a dance routine, played table tennis, relaxed with some yoga poses and got the heart rate up at DFC football.
Primary 4- parachute fun with Primary 1
>We shared a great PE time with P1 where we played lots of fun games together. We had to use our listening skills, our teamwork skills, our common sense and we also gave our bodies a good workout! Lifting that parachute needs strong arms!
