This week we got into groups and we were given a topic on Ancient Egypt to research. The topics were
– the gods
– the pyramids
– King Tutankhamun and his tomb
– mummies and the afterlife
We used related websites and non fiction texts to create information posters and presented them to the class.
This term we are really going to try to become skilled at recalling and applying our multiplication facts. Week beginning January 13th our focus will be revising our 2,3,4,5 and 10 times tables. If your child knows more tables they should continue to practice those as well.
We will be learning about Ancient Egypt and began by looking at www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk . There’s so much information on this site and we really enjoyed looking at facts about mummies, pharaohs and the gods. We will then have a discussion about the different subjects we want to learn more about in the coming weeks.
