Good morning everyone! 🙂
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the sunny weather we have been having.
This week you will be working independently.
I will still be available on the P3 blog to answer any questions you may have! It has been great hearing about what you have all been up to and seeing all your fantastic pictures 🙂
Some ideas for independent work could be:
Literacy
Numeracy
Art
Home Learning Packs
PE
Some more ideas…
Challenge Calendar
Here is this weeks challenge calendar! I think Ice Cream Day might be my favourite! 💕🍦
Have a lovely week, I will post some helpful links for you to visit too 😀
PHONICS – With a person at home use your pencil as your pointing stick and work your way through the speed sound sheet. Remember to challenge yourself and try to say the sounds in a different order.
Each of you have either set 2 or set 3 sounds in your home learning packs too. With someone at home say the sound and then the words underneath. Remember to say…
Work through this booklet to practice this!
Writing Task!
Yesterday you began to bring your character to life. You answered a few questions about your character which hopefully helped you to get to know your character a bit better!
Today we are going start to plan our story.
Think about a story having 4 different parts.
The beginning – Where we set the scene and get to know your character a bit better.
The build up- This is where we start to tell the story what is going to happen? What is the main event in your story? Or what problem do they face? This is the build up to this.
The main event- This is the main part of your story the part where all the excitement happens.
The ending – What happens next? How does your story end!
REMEMBER THIS IS JUST THE STORY PLAN!
Writing a couple of sentences for each part is more than enough! When we write our story next week we will be able to add in all the little details that will bring your story to life. I can’t wait to hear about all your wonderful ideas!
Good morning!
Another week of home learning completed already. Well done!
Today we have numeracy, literacy and then ‘Free Time Friday’.
Have a lovely weekend. 🌟🌼

Triangles and Squares
Use what you have learned so far to fill in the blanks on the activity below.
Paper Airplane Race
Access the website below for lots of paper airplane designs.
https://www.foldnfly.com/#/1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2
You will need paper and a pair of scissors depending on the designs you choose.
Try to make at least 3 different airplane designs.
Mark out a starting line and throw your planes from behind it.
Which plane went the furthest? Why?
Which plane was the fastest? Why?
Have fun 😀
Have a go at the Simon Says with an active twist! 🏃♂️👏🏼🌟

Writing Task!
We are going to write a story, but first we have to plan. Use the animal you drew yesterday as your main character. Let’s create a character profile by answering the questions below…
Whats your characters name?
Write a paragraph to describe your character.
Where do they live?
What do they like to do?
What are they afraid of and why?
What is their role in your story?
Hi everyone,
Today on our timetable we have numeracy, literacy, daily 15 and another home learning challenge. 🌟🌼
Boardsums
Circles
Can you work out which 2D shape is being described by the clues. Remember vertices are corners 😁
Triangles and Squares
Can you find these 3D shapes in your home? In your head try to work out if they would roll or not roll. Sort them into a table like the one shown below.
Create your own animal!
Mix it up… think of two different animals and try to mix them both together in your drawing. Here is an example I found online, you can use these for some inspiration.
What are you going to name it?
Be creative, what can you come up with?
Remember feel free to share your creations on the P3 blog 🙂
