Please make sure you have used capital letters, full stops, adjectives and connectives. Choose your chilli challenge success below. Try to tick off which parts of the success criteria you have managed to do to keep yourself on track! Here is a connective pyramid to help you. You will find the SC grid posted below 🙂
Feel free to share your story on the blog for everyone to read .
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Macdonald ✨
Good morning everyone, happy Friday! 🎉🌷
On your timetable today we have Numeracy, Literacy and then ‘Free Time Friday’ !
Boardsums
In class, before we came off we were working on measure. We were learning to use metres and centimetres as a unit of measurement.
Have a look at the video below to remind you how we do this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuBLuIW1U70
Circles
Begin by playing this game on level 1. This will help you work out the length of objects by measuring in cms against the on screen ruler.
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/measuring-in-cm
Find 10 different objects in your house.
Order these from smallest to largest.
Next muddle them up and organise them into two piles.
Bigger than 30cms and Smaller than 30cms.
You can note your answers down in your jotter, write them on the P3 Blog or even take a picture and post it on the blog to show everyone your hard work!
Triangles and Squares
Begin by playing this game on level 2. This will help you work out the length of objects by measuring in cms against the on screen ruler. However this level uses half centimetres too.
Remember half centimetres measure 0.5 cm.
To explain… if an object measures exactly half way between 5cm and 6cm. This object would measure 5.5cm. Click on the link below to play the game.
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/measuring-in-cm
Lets see what you remember about conversion.
Remember there are 100cm in 1m.
An example would be …
706 cm = 7m 6cm
848cm = 8m 48cm
Can you convert the following into metres and cm (Just like the examples above)

Good Luck!
Yesterday we started our Coronavirus memory tasks.
We began to think about how we feel and what we are looking forward to doing when things go back to normal. We then drew a picture of who we are spending our time at home with and a picture of the place where we are living during this strange time.
Today we are going to be continuing this.
Remember the layout of all of these tasks are up to you. You could do it in your jotter, you could make a little book, you can decorate the pages in any way you like.
Task 3
Todays task we are going to look at ourselves.
This could be very important if we want to have a look back in a few weeks, months or even years to see what has changed or what things are still the same. This page is all about YOU!
Think about…
Your favourite things.
Best Friends
What you want to do when you grow up.
Here is an example of how to lay this out 🙂
Task 4
Next we are going to think about all of the fun things you are doing to keep busy during this strange time! You can write a list, draw a mind map, draw little pictures. Again it is totally up to you how you want to lay this out!
Another example of this might be like this…
I hope you enjoyed yesterdays Daily 15 Toy Story themed activities. Today we are going to do something similar. You can choose any activity from the link below!
Today’s theme is FROZEN!

Reading
Remember to pick up a book and read for 30 minutes. You don’t have to read alone, try to read out loud to a cuddly toy, grown up or even a pet. You could even have someone at home read you a story if you follow the words closely 🙂
Newsround

What makes this character special?
As an extra challenge I would like you to invent your own character to add to the story.
What would their role be?
Answer the same questions as above.
You could even do this on our class blog and add an photo of your new character 🙂 Can’t wait to see them!

Remember to pick up a book and read for 30 minutes. Reading is the best exercise you can do for your brain!
Newsround
As we are all working from home because of the Coronavirus I thought a nice activity would be to create something we could look back on in time gone by to remember this special time we are spending at home.
Task 1
Your first task is to think about yourself.
How do you feel?
What are you thankful for?
What are you most excited to do when things go back to normal?
You can complete this task on paper or in your jotter. It is up to you how you would like to lay this out. Answer the 3 questions in proper sentences and draw a picture for each one!
An example of how to lay this out is posted below…
Task 2
Next I would like you to think of your Family. Draw 2 pictures. In the first picture I would like you to draw a picture of where you live. In the second picture, draw \nd label a picture of who you are living with! You can include pets too! Again it is up to you how you want to lay this out. Be creative.
An example is posted below…
