Primary 3 continued making our Class dragon. We sat in our learning trios so we could help each other finish off each part.
In the middle of the plates primary 3 had to write their initials in Chinese by finding their initials from the picture of the Chinese alphabet on the board. It was tricky but looked amazing!
It took us a while but now our dragon looks great hanging in the bay!

Primary 3 have really been enjoying having a soft start in the morning. We have made lots of creations with the Kapla, some even made their own Chinese dragon with play dough and some decided to draw our class bear Cocoa Bean on the whiteboards!
This afternoon we met Miss Song for the first time. We were so happy to hear she will be spending every Wednesday afternoon with us this term!
As our topic is China we decided to make some crafts to link with this. Yesterday we talked about the Chinese flag and learned that the colour red was used to symbolise the Chinese Revolution and the stars are for the different groups of people that live in China. We then made our own flags with tissue paper. Today we had the chance to finish these off and began to make our whole class Chinese Dragon!
We were so busy this afternoon and our dragon isn’t even finished yet! Great work Primary 3!
Today primary 3 were revising the days of the week. We found a song to help us remember these in the correct order. When the song was finished we had a little quiz to see if we could remember the order correctly!

On Friday we visited Menziehill Library. We had the chance to return our old books from last term and take out some new books for our in class reading time!
Primary 3 loved having a look through lots of different story books, we even found a few about China!
This afternoon we made the most of the dry weather and went to play in the pod for the first time this year! We had a great time building lots of things from castles to games. One group even tried to build ‘The Great Wall of China’!
This week Primary 3 have been learning about odd and even numbers! To do this we looked at an activity on Doorway and a game on Topmarks. After completing our first independent task we set up the classroom with lots of active activities to help us continue our learning of odd and even numbers!

We had so much fun this afternoon at our Christmas Party! Primary 3 joined up with Primary 1 and 2 in the gym hall to play some festive party games before being invited to join the upper school disco! It was great fun!
After showing off all of our amazing dancing and playing lots of games we went back to class for a snack! What a lovely afternoon!
Primary 3 learned a new game today. We had a snowman drive where played against a partner. We took turns to roll the dice, each number corresponding to a different part of the snowman. The first person to correctly build their snowman had to shout Merry Christmas! We had so much fun!
Today we went outside to make Christmas tree pictures using evergreen leaves! We went hunting around the playground for things we could use as decorations. We tried to stick to natural resources but couldn’t resist using litter to add some colour to our pictures!
