Aoife and Fallon brought their Irish country dancing medals into school to show us and entertained us with a short dancing display. Well done girls!
Autumn party fun
We had fun dressing up, playing games, dancing and sharing food with our friends.
Exciting times
What an exciting day it has been!!
Look what is growing outside our classroom…
Along with the rest of the school, we can’t wait to use this learning resource.
It was interesting to see how the builders fixed parts of the structure together and we looked at the shapes used in the building.
A very famous visitor
Today we welcomed a very famous author to P3.
We had enjoyed reading “Oliver’s Vegetables” when we were learning about the journey of food last term.
Well today, Vivian French, the author of this, and many other books, arrived in our classroom!!!! She read us ” I am a woolly hat” and involved us with a writing project.
It was great fun and a wonderful experience meeting a famous author.
We are looking forward to meeting her again soon and thank Moira and Elaine for involving us in this exciting project.
Responsible citizens
We try to keep our class tidy and regularly make sure all our tools are ready for use…lids on pens and pencils kept sharp. Then we don’t waste time searching for tools when given a task to complete.
Handwriting is fun!
This week we looked at the bouncy letters b and p. The ball went down, up and around………. just like these letters.
Telling the time and fractions
This term we will be learning more about time.
We looked at halves and quarters as we use these telling the time in an analogue format.
We are excited about our new IDL – Celebrations!
We chatted about what things we celebrate- Bonfire Night, Christmas and birthdays were popular choices and Jay mentioned football celebrations and showed us his celebration!
We spoke about why you need to celebrate and although food was a popular choice, we also mentioned family and friends and LOVE!
Then we danced to Celebrate Good Times!
Do you like our Celebration dances!
Racquet sports
We have been using this equipment in our PE lessons. Can you remember how we use our eyes, arms and legs to be great sportspeople?
What is the difference between each racquet?
Which equipment is easier to use and why?
Will you be the next Andy Murray?
Feeling excited!
We are looking forward to a very special literacy workshop we will be taking part in, starting next week, when we will be working with a famous author!
More details soon…………….
