In nursery we have been learning about people who help us in the local community. Last week PC’s Scott, Liam and Ryan visited the nursery. The children tried on police vests and hats, and  Scott showed the children some of his police gadgets such as his walkie talkie, truncheon and pepper spray. The children were very interested, and asked Scott lots of questions about his role. The children were super excited when they sat in the police car when the lights were flashing and the sirens were ringing. The most important message that Scott shared with the children, was that the police are there to help and support people,  and not just to catch “baddies”, although that is also part of his job. 👮‍♂️
