I have attached a video that Cathryn has made, either make them and send them to family or make one and hang on the nursery gates and we can ensure it is quarantined and handed to a friend.
Let us know how you get on! Cant wait to see your virtual hugs.
Please can parents email me so I can email over SEESAW access. I can only put your child on SEESAW if you have completed the Permissions Form. Children will be added throughout the week.
Today we have Nikita who has made a video with the help of some boys and girls. This book is certainly a favourite in the nursery.
Today can you listen to Nikita reading the book and talk about what you have heard, the different animals and words. Try and get your child to tell you about the story, what happens the characters and their favourite part of the story.
Can you go on a Gruffalo walk today and explore what is in the deep dark woods, or around your streets or even in the garden? Let us know what you can find.
Finally draw a picture of one of the characters- This is your own child’s representation of the characters, what they think the animals look like and can use their imagination to do so.
I hope you are well and keeping safe? We are all missing you lots and lots. We are hoping to get SEESAW up and running in a few days, we will keep you posted. For your children to be put onto SEESAW you need to fill out the permission form below. I am hoping this will be an easier platform for you to communicate.
Today Anna has videoed an activity on balancing. This is a great activity to develop balancing, gross motor and fine motor skills.
We are hoping to organise video chats soon, this can be done on laptops/phones. There will not be any pressure for children to participate in activities, I believe just seeing other children will be a great opportunity. We shall keep you posted!
Please find the video below of Cathryn making gloop, this is a great activity to practice letter forming and also mark making.
You can also hide treasure in the goop and see if the children can tell you what they have found. Lots of mathematical language can be used, weighing/amounts.
Enjoy a walk today- it is lovely and sunny. What can you find on your walk today? Let us know.
Here is a video from Chloe- she has talked about differences and similarities in ourselves using our ‘Hooray for Fish’. Send us pictures from what you have drawn.
If you still have playdough from last week or if you can make more. Have a look on YouTube for dough disco. This is great for fine motor skills development.
Can you go on a shape hunt around your house and find a variety if shapes.
Good morning everyone, thank you to all the parents and grandparents that have sent in pictures and videos of their children, participating in the learning form home activities. It has certainly lightened our spirits seeing the children’s faces and hearing their voices.
