We are developing good self help skills which we are demonstrating at snack and lunch. We are making good use of our utensils and are beginning to confidently use our own forks and spoons without help. We can identify our own lunches and can ask or indicate for refills on milk and water. We enjoy mealtimes and are building and developing friendships and language skills whilst sitting together at the table.
We have settled back into nursery routine and are exploring all the fun activities on offer in the nursery. We have been building towers with blocks as well as discovering the names of our building block shapes. Our home corner has been busy with lots of cooking, looking after the babies and sorting out the ironing. We have been creative in the art area, discovering new skills in the playdough area and using our imagination in the tuff spot by using oats to create cakes, to scoop and pour. It’s busy work in the nursery but lots of fun.
It was very blustery and wet last week which meant lots of fun in the 2s garden. We donned our puddle suits and wellies and embraced the weather conditions outside. Lots of fun was had jumping in puddles and generally playing outdoors. (click link below for video)
It has been a fabulous first few weeks back at nursery. After a long time being off nursery, the children have amazed us how quickly they have settled back into nursery life. Our new children have settled quickly and happily. We have enjoyed welcoming our returning families and meeting our new families. The children have had to learn new routines, such as washing their hands more frequently and waiting patiently to be collected by their parents and carers at night. We would all agree that our children are amazing! 🥰
We have had a fabulous first week back at nursery. The children re-connected with staff, friends and the learning environment.
The children were so excited to be back, to see old friends and to develop new friendships. The nursery ladies are so happy to see all of the children back in nursery. It has been a long time coming.🥰
Hi everyone, Nature Art Frames are really easy to make. Cut some flower, butterfly or any kind of shape into cardboard( you can use a cereal box), then explore your local environment, look through and see some amazing images. 👍💦🌈

Hello everyone!
What wonderful weather we have been having in Dundee over the last week or so! I hope you have been enjoying it with your families.
The story “The Snail and the Whale” by Julia Donaldson is a classic. I have attached a video of someone reading the story so you can listen to it at home. Over the next few days I will post some different activities related to the story that you can do with a grown up, if you wish to. I hope you enjoy the story!
