A very busy and exciting week in Primary 5!

We celebrated Shrove Tuesday. We used pancakes in Numeracy to practise skip counting in 3s and 4s and then we enjoyed eating them with our favourite toppings! 

 

 

 

 

 

We have been learning about multiplying by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 all week. On Friday, we used concrete materials outdoors to show our 3 or 4 times tables. 

We also used digital technologies to practise our multiplying. 

In Literacy, we were learning about nouns, adjectives and verbs and how to write descriptive sentences. We were writing sentences to describe the Battle of Stirling Bridge. We have also continued to read Fantastic Mr Fox and answer questions to show our understanding.

For IDL this week, we learned about shields used in the Scottish Wars of Independence. We  then designed and created our own shields with a Scottish theme.
