Foundation Apprenticeships (FAs) are open to pupils in fifth and sixth year. A Foundation Apprenticeship offers young people valuable, real-world work experience as well as a qualification. FAs count as a subject choice in a school’s senior phase and are at the same level as a Higher (Level 6). Foundation Apprenticeships allow pupils to access work-based learning while still at school.
There are currently 11 different FAs delivered across Dundee, some of which are delivered at Dundee & Angus College and some of which are delivered in specific schools within the city.
