TimeLine by FF

We looked at timeline in our co-operative learning team with Mr Young’s class. We looked at the dictionary to see the words of Dec- 10, cent- 100, mill- 1000.

There are other words that mean the same in the dictionary. Then we had cards of  historical people that lived long time ago. when they were born and death. I did it because my team helped me. I  will understand better with a partner with me helping me so next time I will encourage people to help me and I will help them to so I can make they understand me.

Demi Timeline

In p7\6 & p7 we have been doing timelines and finding out dates and when events were and what they were about. We were putting them in order and we had paper cards and a timeline sheet so on the sheet we had to order them in to bits and see what cards matched.

Timeline from A.T

We have been working about timeline. We used timelines to put a famous history and events about Dundee. We used decades (10years), century (100years) and millenniums (1000years). We worked on mill, cent and Dec. We used dictionary and I pods to search what kind of word there is that begins with mill, cent and Dec. We managed to do it with my p7 and p6 cooperative learning groups.

In p7/6 we have joined with the other p7 class and made co-operative learning teams and together in our groups we have been making timelines in my group is Thomas Eilidh and Fraser A. We have been given Ipods to research different people and the times they appeared on the timeline. We have been using word like mill =1000 Ad = Anno domnide  Bc =before Christ . We got booklets about the people and different events I learnt that the royal arch was built for queen Victoria and she didn’t show up! I Think I did well on this project and hope we do something like this again

Wall Art Of Dundee TF

In our class co-operative learning groups we made parts of Dundee.

In our group we made the school, the Tay bridge and the peach and white building.

Aaron and I made the Tay bridge with help from Miss Mooney and others.

The Tay bridge was silver and had lighter and darker squares.

while we did that Bethany and Zaara did the others.

Today (Which is Tuesday) we are going to start putting up the art on to the wall

Building Our Display S.M

In our classroom, we used to have a Display all about Australia – which was our last topic. However this Project was about Dundee so yesterday we made paper collages of  famous landmarks in Dundee. My class co-learning group did the Balgay hill.  At first I  thought it was going to be easy but after break we`d only had done the rough drawing of the hill! We then were told that we should draw some squares on  the hills so it  looked pixelated. I really enjoyed making the display!

my timeline work V.S

In our co-operative learning groups we did time lines . We did this work with Mr Young’s class. We got some bits  of paper with different events and the times they happened we had to order them from the times they happened . I think our group did okay but we didn’t finish the task . To take this task further I would go to the library and research the events and the times they happened .

timeline z.p

In p7/6 I was doing a time line. In our build it Scotland project with my co-operative teams. we had to find different words beginning with Mill-1000 Cent-100 Dec- 10. Each three words come from Latin. We got a timeline sheet which we had to colour in the sheet and we had to write the dates. We got  lots of little sheets of paper which we had to find the  dates and put it on the nearest date. I found it a bit hard when we had to find the date for the little sheets I want to do more so I can understand more about timelines.

James Time line

Primary 7/6 and 7 went to Mr  Young’s class to learn about time lines. We did decades, centuries and millions in our co-op groups . My group is me Adam ,Grace and Scarlet. We did a timeline.  I learnt that  bi made two tri made three quad made four and more. I learnt that BC meant before Christ and AD means Anno Domini.

Timeline S.M

As part of our Build It Scotland Project, in our co – learning groups, we used timelines to put famous events in history from long  ago to quite recent. We used a  decades [10 years] and century  [100 years] for the most recent events and we used millennium [1000 years] for older periods in time [ the Egyptians for instance]. I had a lot of interest  finding out what the date was for each  card. It was great fun.
