Winter and Polar Animals

We have been exploring Winter and Polar Animals. We have an igloo and dressing up clothes in our imaginiative area. We could dress up as polar bears or snowflakes. We made a fishing game with fish and magnets and tried to catch as many as we could.

We have read different stories both fiction and non-fiction all about polar animals. We made artwork based on the stories, e.g. penguins hats,  masks, igloos, penguins etc. We learned some new songs too!!

At the playdough table some of the Orange group made sparkly playdough. It looked like ice and frost. We role played with Artic animals.

In the imaginative area we enjoyed role playing with the Polar mammals.

At the art table we made penguins and  Polar Bears.

The Orange Group were busy last week exploring the signs of Winter outside. We found ice on the lid of the outdoor sand tray. It was freezing!!!!!

For fun we had a Polar snack of penguin biscuits and snowballs. They were yummy!!
We watched some ice hockey at the Olympics, talked about their clothes, equipment etc and played ice cube ice hockey.
