The Battle of Stirling Bridge
We have been making 3D cardboard images of Stirling Bridge. We have tried to make it look like it did a long time ago when it was still made of wood. It was burnt down by William Wallace during the battle but was built again with stone bricks. We hope you like our picture cardboard Stirling Bridge. This one was made by Morgan and Bobbie.
On what day was The Battle of Stirling Bridge fought?
William Wallace

ONE WEEK TO GO!!!!!!
One week to the October break. The children are still finding out important facts about the 60’s and sharing it in class. It’s good to know that they are enjoying this as much as I am. All the information they have gathered has been compiled and written as a report. I hope we will be able to share some of the reports with you all.
Swinging Sixties
It’s amazing how time flies……I wish we could all ride on it’s wings. P4 has been swiinging back and forth and comparing fashion, entertainment, cars and games from the 1960’s to what we have today. Through research we have discovered a lot of things. We have also been gathering evidence to back it up. It’s been hard work but even more fun. We now know that ‘Twiggy’ was a fashion icon in the sixties. We also know that ‘The Flinstones cartoon’ is still quite popular today even though it came out in the 60’s. Great stuff!!!! Next we will be discussing racism and how it changed dramatically throughout the sixties which involved the passage of bills into laws especially because of protests by anti-racist groups such as the Freedom Riders. Stay tuned for more exciting facts
Welcome back!
Welcome back everyone. Dens Road is 100yrs and we will be delving into the past to the 1960’s – 1970’s. Finding out interesting facts about things that happened then. Hope you enjoy reading our blogs.
