On Thursday afternoon, we went to the pitch to enjoy the sunny weather!

James, Lewis and Zayyan have created a graffiti based artwork for the school community room. Here is Lewis using spray paints to create the graffiti effect.

The triangles maths group have been learning about bar charts. The group visited their class as well as the Beehive to survey their peers on favourite sports, football team and crisps. They used their results to create both 3D and paper bar charts. Well done!

Here is Liam at assembly. He won ‘best outfit’ for his Rio costume! Well done!

As part of their language work, the Green Group have created a display in the Honeypot which has both Polish and English. The group have really enjoyed learning another language and have been very welcoming to their new friend.

During our Scottish Open Day, which coincided with Burns Day, the pupils in the Beehive participated in Scottish activities and artwork. You can see our clay Scottish flags in the school community room! We invited in parents and carers for our Scottish food tasting session and we tasted haggis, neeps, tatties, oatcakes, shortie and pancakes!

The children in the Beehive celebrated Chinese New Year by learning about Chinese customs and by creating dragon masks and Chinese hats.

Miss Cummings came to the Beehive and performed the ‘Cup Song’ from the film Pitch Perfect. The children enjoyed having a go themselves and we have set up a rehearsal area for them to practice.
