This week in maths we have been learning about division in Daily Mental Maths and how you can use a fact family to help you work out division sums by using the inverse. We have also been doing multiplication using algorithm and partitioning methods in our jotters. We have been practising our times tables by playing Around the World.
This week we were writing a short story about a fisherman- We had to include some figurative language and grammar in each sentence. We also did some Short burst Writing and described an alien world in detail using adjectives.
As part of our IDL about the lives of the Great Artists we made our own version of Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’. we tried to replicate the short brush strokes using wax crayons and then painted a wash effect on top. They were very successful and looked like the original painting
