This week in Primary 6A

Welcome back to our class blog. We will be sharing what we have been learning about this week, what we enjoyed and what we are looking forward to.

Let us tell you about our week.


Carly – We went up and cleaned the library

Callan – We have had DEAR time this week.

Eilidh – We debated whether P6 should get the covid vaccine or not.

Karina – We learned new spelling rules.

Halle – We decided what we think are the most important things the Scottish Parliament do.

Colton – We done whisper reading.

Carly – we have been reading the class novel “the lost words”.

Tyler – We completed spelling tasks.

Eilidh – we learned about verb tenses.

Lily – We worked on editing writing to add punctuation.

Anabia – we learned about synonyms and found some.


Anabia – the orange group completed revision on am and pm times.

Ava – we did the times table challenge.

Ben – We completed maths boards games as a fast finisher.

Lily  – we planned a day out using real timetables – going to a movie or going bowling.

In Phase 6 we were doing work with Miss Allan on am and pm.

Phase 4 and 5 were working on the ipads as a fast finisher.

Tyler – in phase 5 group we revised quarter past and quarter to.

Emma – in our numeracy group we planned a day out bowling.

Erin – we have been doing around the world or countdown as numeracy starters.

Karina – we nominated and voted for a numeracy ninja.

Health and Wellbeing:

Harvey – in PE we played netball

Jason – In PE we have been playing skipping, hula hoops and bean bags.

William – we done our daily mile around the trim trail this week.

Karina – in PE we played basketball

Alexis – we were learning about children’s mental health,

Anabia – we displayed some of the class charter.

Other Curricular areas:

Ben – we voted for our house and vice captains.

Anabia – we designed our Christmas cards.

Karina – we wrote a mystery letter with Miss Crawford.

Carly – we wrote the class blog

Anabia – we revised our learning in German

Ava – Miss Allan let us use the regulation station.
