The Scottish Government is committed to the near doubling of entitlement to funded early learning and childcare to 1140 hours a year for all 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. The aim is to provide high quality, flexible early learning and childcare that is accessible and affordable for all families.
These sessions include a free two course hot lunch along with two snacks each day.
What this means for you
Currently all 3 and 4 year olds, and eligible 2 year olds, are entitled to 1140 hours of free early learning and childcare.
The session starts at 8.40am until 2.40pm.
