Ascending Order

To ascend means to go up.

The numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are in ascending order because they continue to go up.

Numbers in ascending order don’t have to be consecutive, as long as they go up. For example: 3, 10, 54, 69 and 102 are in ascending order.

The term ascending order might not be introduced until First Level but the concept of arranging numbers in a forward sequence would be introduced at Early Level.
