Capacity

Capacity refers to the amount a particular container can hold.

It is different to volume which refers to the space an object already takes up.

Capacity is measured using units such as millilitres, litres, pints etc.

The concept of capacity would be introduced at Early Level by comparing different containers, pouring one into another and so on, but the term “capacity” may be introduced later at First Level.
