Awards for the Redwell Nature Explorers!
Congratulations to all the pupils, parents and members of our community who have been helping us with our grounds since April 2018, we now have successfully achieved Levels 1 and 2 of the RHS School Gardening Achievement Awards. More information about this can be found here School Gardening with RHS
This highlights that we understand the benefits for pupils of gardening and have planned, grown and developed the planters by the classrooms as well as tackling the weeds in the vegetable beds. With certificates, a calendar and book to help us we are getting inspired to grow even more in the coming year we hope to gain our next level very soon.
Cheers,
The Redwell Nature Explorers and Gardening Group

Meet the Teacher evening
Tomorrow (Tuesday 4th September) we will be hosting our ‘Meet the Teacher evening’. This is a great opportunity for you to come and put a face to the name of your child’s class teacher and have a tour of their classroom and ‘wing’.
This is a drop in event which your child can attend along with you. It will run from 5:00pm till 6.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Attendance Matters
At Redwell we actively promote and monitor the attendance of all pupils. It is part of a national priority to ensure that all children achieve their potential through attending school consistently throughout their academic life, from P1 onwards.
An interesting statistic shows that if your child’s attendance is at 90% from P1 – S5, this equates to one month per year, which in turn means the loss of a whole academic year in their school life. It is therefore very important that you work in partnership with the school to ensure that: ‘Every school day counts, Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!’
