What have we been doing in P1S this week?

We have been learning about:

“what plants are used for. We found out that they can be used to make chocolate” – Jared

“different races that we will be doing for Sport’s Day next month” – Hanna

“fair-trade. We know that fair trade is when the farmers get a fair price for the products that companies buy. I am going to have a look out for the logo on food products” – Ohad

“a cocoa plant and how this turns into chocolate” – Logan

“how cotton plants help to make clothes like our school jumpers and t-shirts” – Riley

“when the cocoa beans are ready, they are put into big bags and put on a ship to bring to Europe.” – Alexis

“plants which are used to make oil. We know that sunflowers are used to make sunflower oil for cooking our food in” – Natsumi

“how to use a scale for measuring weight in maths. We know that kg stands for kilograms and  g stands for grams” – Bryce

“chocolate being made by plants” – Liam

“animals and their young” – Kayla

“we read the story called ‘The Boy who Cried Wolf’ and learned about the setting, the characters and the order of the story” – Megan

“the rubber plant and how it helps make welly boots” – Abi
