We have learned about Buddha and Buddhism.  We practised Right Speech whilst we were playing, making sure we were being kind.  We learned that Buddha didn’t want to be rich, even though he was a prince.  He wanted to help other people.

We have written a story about the Frog Prince.  We used story strings to help us remember.

We have been practising counting in 3s and 4s using blocks, a hundred square and whack-a-mole on the computer.

We are settling into our new routine in P3 and we are already working hard. This week we have been practising our story-telling using story strings. We have been revising our number bonds to 10 and 20 by helping a farmer sort out his sheep! We have also started learning about Buddhism in RME and exploring our emotions in HWB.

This term our PE days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on these days. Art is on a Tuesday – if you wish to provide your child with an apron, please send it into school so they can store it in their trays.

On 28th February, P3 will be running a Macmillian Coffee Morning. If anyone has any knowledge or skills relevant to this (e.g. cake baking or nursing) that they would be willing to share with the children, please can you let Mrs Smith or Miss Fuller know?
