We took a walk to the school orchard and picked some apples that had been growing. Then last week we worked with Mr Furzer’s class and Mrs Russell to make our own apple crumble. It was really fun. We got to use Mr Furzer’s fancy apple peeler and corer and then we chopped the apples into little pieces. We had to be very careful when using the knives. We also measured all the ingredients for the crumble topping into a bowl and used our hands to mix it together. Then we had to spoon it over the apples. We were working so hard preparing it that we forgot to take photos…oh dear. But here are some photos of our crumble straight from the oven and of us doing the best part…eating it! Most of us gave it a try and lots of us found it so yummy that we almost licked our bowls clean!
