Good Morning P1

Good morning everyone,

Hope you all had a good day yesterday.   Well done if you managed to sign in to Google Classrooms. I loved hearing and seeing what you had been doing, so please keep this up.  If you have not logged in yet, why not try that today and leave a message.  I also see that lots of you have started to explore Sumdog and BugClub.  Well done.

Here are some activities for today:

  1. Google Classrooms, Sumdog and Bug Club: Have a try logging in to one of these today if you haven’t already.  If you have, then continue to practise on them.  I will log on later to see how everyone is doing and maybe set you another challenge.
  2. Learning space: Why not try to create your own learning space in your house somewhere.  This can be a nice quiet area where you can go to concentrate and complete your work – just like you have in class.  Please let me know if you create one, you could even send a photo of it.   Here’s my learning space that I set up yesterday.
  3. Spread the colour: Make your own rainbow and display it in your window for people to see.  Spreading cheer as people are out for a walk.  Extra challenge – take a photo of your rainbow and share it on Google Classroom for us all to see 🙂 I am going to do mine later.  I will post a photo when I’m done.
  4. Movement breaks: Make sure you remember to take lots of movement breaks e.g Go Noodle, Just Dance, Cosmic Kids or go for a walk or help around the house.  Remember to make time for relaxation too – read a story, build a tower, draw a picture.

Enjoy your day 🙂 Keep in touch.

Good Morning P1

Welcome to our class blog.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Today is our first day at home and is about getting used to our new way of learning.

Today, if you can, have a go at logging in to Sumdog or Bug Club.  I have a money challenge set up on Sumdog and books ready to use on Bug Club.  You could draw a picture and write a sentence about something you did at the weekend.  If you like, you can write and tell me about it.  You can also check out Miss Johnston’s blog for some ideas to keep active.

It looks like it’s going to be a lovely day, so try and spend some time in the garden if you can.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Important Information for Parents

Hi everyone,

Just to keep you updated, P1 are unable to access Google Classrooms at the moment due to log in problems.  This is currently getting sorted and we will keep you updated when this changes.  In the meantime we will be using this blog to communicate with you so please check daily/when you can.  Please be aware that this blog is public so any comments/photos shared will be public.  Please use the blog as a way to share learning, if you have any questions please email the school.  There are lots of activities/ideas in the home learning pack too.  Please don’t worry or stress, take time to familiarise yourself with the online resources – we are all in the same boat.  We are learning too.

Thanks for your continued support at this difficult time.
