We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded Rights Respecting Schools – Silver Rights Aware status. Silver – Rights Aware is the second stage of the Rights Respecting Schools Award.<\/p>\n

The award is granted by UNICEF UK to schools that show good progress towards embedding children\u2019s rights in their policy, practice and ethos. The school was assessed by one of UNICEF UK\u2019s Professional Advisers who looked at the whole school\u2019s rights respecting work.<\/p>\n

Achieving Silver: Rights Aware means that Deerpark is embedding the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, promotes knowledge and understanding of the UNCRC throughout the school community and is seeing a positive impact of this on the school\u2019s ethos, practice and environment.<\/p>\n
