Deerpark Primary School is a non-denominational primary school, situated beside Gartmorn Dam. The school serves the village of Sauchie along with Craigbank Primary.
Deerpark Primary School shares a site with Lochies School, which is a school for primary aged children with severe/complex additional support needs.
The outside area is extensive with a tarmac area for the playground, adjoined by a large grassed area. There is also an outdoor multi-purpose play zone.
We believe in working in partnership with parents/carers and encourage them to be involved in their child’s education. Open afternoons are arranged creating opportunities for people to become more aware of developments in the school. Parents/carers are also welcomed to a number of school functions during the year.
Staff work hard to provide high quality learning and teaching experiences. They actively promote an atmosphere of achievement and attainment and give consideration to the progress of all pupils.
On completion of their primary education, pupils normally transfer to Lornshill Academy.
Deerpark’s catchment area is an area of educational priority, which entitles additional resources ensuring good staff/pupil ratios.
The school maintains its own website where you can find all the latest news and information on the school including the School Handbook.
Further information or a school brochure can also be obtained by contacting the headteacher.
