What is your favourite sport?
Cycling, running and calisthenics
What is your favourite food and (and what do you hate?)
You can’t beat a good old home-made pizza. I hate chicken korma – I need more spice in my life!
What TV shows or movies do you like?
I love the visual aspect of the film “The Fountain”, it’s very beautiful. For a TV series…I love dark Nordic crime thrillers!
What song do you love to play?
Favourite song is Rolex by Ayo and Teo – it always makes me want to dance.
What is your favourite book and why?
This is a really hard question! Ultimately I’m torn between two . One is Madam Bovary because I love Flaubert’s lyrical and visual style of writing. The other is “Pan”. I discovered Knut Hamsun through Charles Bukowski’s admiration of John Fante’s work, particularly “Ask the Dust” which is derived from “Pan”. Again it is a very visual novel and beautifully written. The ending was amazing; I’ve never been so torn with an ending before!
Do you have any pets?
A golden retriever.
Do you have a favourite subject to teach and why?
Anything creative!
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I really enjoyed doing voluntary work with youth groups in my local community.
What was your New Year’s Resolution and did you keep it?
No idea, so let’s assume I kept it!
