Headteacher Update Nov 2017

 Dear Families,

We have been very busy in the nursery and school so here are some updates.

Authority Review

Please find a letter along with this update from the Review Team who visited our school last term. They identified our strengths and areas for development. Thank you to those who completed the questionnaires and spoke to the team. Your support is much appreciated.

Thanks also for your attendance at Parent Conferences and contributing to development of our curriculum rationale (that was what the green dots were for!). Your ideas and opinions really do count.

Overall we are very pleased with the outcome of the review and will continue to go from strength to strength in partnership with you.

School and Nursery Grounds

There has been amazing progress with our nursery garden project already. Thank you to all of the volunteers who are helping to make it happen.

The School Grounds Group is also moving forward with plans to improve our outdoor spaces. Already lots of new equipment has been bought, chosen by the children, and there are plans for an all weather path which is very exciting. We will keep you updated as plans progress.

Staffing

Mr Campbell has been successful in his application and interview to move to a school closer to home. We are very pleased for him and I would like to take this opportunity to thank       Mr Campbell for his contribution to our school and wish him all the best in his new post.

In order to ensure continuity and the best possible transition for the children in P2C,         Mrs Urquhart is taking over as class teacher. She knows the children from nursery and is looking forward to being their teacher.

As some of you may be aware Mrs Urquhart teaches other classes and so the following arrangements have been put in place.

Monday in P2M – Mrs Petrie and Mrs Cartwright

Wednesday in P3H – Mrs Budge

Thursday in P2C – Mrs Petrie

Friday in P4/3 – Mrs Budge

I would like to thank all of the staff for continuing to ensure the needs of our children come first with as little disruption as possible.
