Snow need to stop learning!<\/p>\n<p>Here are some sites that are used by the school; pupils have logins for these;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sumdog.com \u2013 maths games<\/li>\n<li>ReadTheory.com &#8211; online reading comprehension<\/li>\n<li>Nessy.com &#8211; spelling and maths activites<\/li>\n<li>EducationCity.com &#8211; literacy and numeracy activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here is a list of ideas to support learning if\/when the school has to be closed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shopping \u2013 work on adding, subtracting amounts, multiplying or even dividing: if a pack of 6 costs 90p, how much would one cost?<\/li>\n<li>Time: how long does it take to tidy a room? If you got 3 minutes TV for each minute tidying, how long would you need to help in the house to be able to watch the whole of your favourite movie?<\/li>\n<li>Writing: letters, news reports etc<\/li>\n<li>\u201921 or pontoon\u2019 \u2013 mental arithmetic<\/li>\n<li>Play cards \u2013 memory- good for concentration<\/li>\n<li>Snap \u2013 pairs<\/li>\n<li>Snakes and Ladders \u2013 order number of the 100 square<\/li>\n<li>Revise number stories<\/li>\n<li>Addition and formation of letters and numbers<\/li>\n<li>Revision of CVC words<\/li>\n<li>Play card games<\/li>\n<li>Baking to practise measuring and weight<\/li>\n<li>Dominoes<\/li>\n<li>Building junk models for art and craft<\/li>\n<li>Describe the weather using wow words and adjectives<\/li>\n<li>Nature walks<\/li>\n<li>Learn number\/rhyme songs<\/li>\n<li>Keep a diary of your days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>School closed because of severe weather?
